Hey sorry to bother anyone and take their time reading this, I'm a lonely person so I always tend to go to the internet for answers and help. Also I had to severely shorten things to be readable.

First question:

"Seeing 'correctly,'' as in realistically, makes the journey to attain this skill exponentially easier. I'm a professional / academically trained artist and still struggle with realism after years and years of work because my mind is just not wired that way, making the process require a lot more technique to replace the lack of natural sight." - someone in a comment section.

Am I seeing things the wrong way? Am I at a disadvantage because I'm not seeing things the right way? I don't even know what I'm talking about.

Got a lot of problems, lonely, depressed, PTSD, paranoia. I want to be a famous artist someday. Will follow my dream. Going to army for 4 years, then plan to go to a university for art, where should i go afterwards as I have no family support?

Also, sorry for the embarrassingly dumb questions I've brought up, I'll be changing accounts so no one remembers this. Sorry to have bothered anyone if they read all this.
I have always been reluctant and scared to try and pursue the interest and passion, until now. I'm fed up and I want to become a great artist. I will succeed no matter what people tell me.

However I do need guidance, and some information.

I was planning on starting with just practicing sketching, getting some pencils and paper etc but I am now not sure what I should try and do. Do I want to do both digital and analog? Can I become great at both? Do either translate into the other, skill-wise?

Sorry to bother you if you read this, take care and follow your dreams.
